My Jewel Shop Is Relocating!

The saying goes, “When one door closes, another door opens.”  As we embark upon our 50th year in business, My Jewel Shop will be closing the doors of our current retail location. Our last day will be Saturday, December 26, 2020. This is not goodbye! We are relocating just two blocks away, as we seize the opportunity to continue My Jewel Shop with an entirely new business model. When we reopen the doors of our new location, our goal is to continue to serve you, but in an appointment based, more intimate and personal way.

So why are we moving? The circumstances of this most unusual year gave us the time to pause and assess life after retail. Rob recently celebrated his 70th birthday and the thought of retiring and saying goodbye to all of you, our extended “family,” was not an option we wanted to consider. Do you believe in fate? We do! Our current landlord purchased the 201 York Road property, which contains a large vault. He invited us to see it and I fell in love with it’s awesome vibe! I also saw this as a next chapter and an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. Moving into this vault will enable My Jewel Shop to become a turn-key operation. Our new location will actually allow you to see more merchandise within a most unique shopping experience. We will continue to provide our 5 star services as well as expand to “Dr. Rob and Nurse Linda” house calls, private appointments, while you wait simple repairs, and who knows what else? Once we are settled, we will announce our limited fixed days and hours of operation. Rob, being such a talented goldsmith, will continue to gift this world with his golden hands. For me, my brain is still gushing with creativity and I look forward to exploring myself while continuing to design beautiful jewelry for you.

This new adventure was not an easy decision. We hope you will feel welcome coming to what will be our new “second home.” As I write this, I feel so emotional. There are so many memories, so many shared milestones, so many stories, none of which would be possible without you. Rob and I are incredibly grateful and truly blessed to have been inspired to create such beautiful jewelry, which has now become your family heirlooms. We leave traditional retail on a high note and thank you beyond words for your support, loyalty and friendship. We look forward to continuing our relationship for years to come. Can’t wait to see you at “The Vault”…opening January 2021.

With love,

Linda and Rob
